Two problems in Supply Chain. Two approaches to solve it.
CPS supply chains struggle with predominantly two high impact problems – stockout of items in high demand, and obsolescence of items in low demand.
There are two approaches to tackle it – improve forecast accuracy, or reduce forecast dependence through supply chain agility.
Teams trying to improve forecast accuracy have seen only a marginal improvement. Teams using agility to reduce forecast dependence have got huge improvements.
